Some words about the piece:
The idea of the piece came at the same time from several impressions.
First, the duo of flute and guitar is not routine, and it made me think differently and get out of the box. To my great delight, creative contact was established with the wonderful musicians Daphne Itzhaky and Shiri Coneh at the time of writing, we were in touch all the time, discovering new ways of playing together, inventing new writing for instruments.
At the same time, I thought about the inner meaning of the work, the quarantine situation in which we live now because of the coronavirus led me to search for philosophical materials about stopping lives, stopping time. Daphne was a Naiad nymph, the daughter of the river god Peneus, she was transformed into a laurel tree, a human turned into a tree that could not move or speak. The life froze…
